I have to say I’m quite fond of subscriptions because they’re like the gift that keeps on giving. It’s so nice to get something new in the post every month. They’re also a great last-minute gift since you don’t have to wait for anything to be delivered, just print off some lovely pics and the subscription info.
I’ve picked out a few sub ideas that would make lovely gifts.
GlossyBox
I was subscribed to GlossyBox for 6 months as a gift from a friend, and I thought the products they included every month were great. There was a good mix of product types, from make-up to skincare to haircare, and the brands varied from little-known to very popular. The quality of the products rarely disappointed and I used pretty much everything I got. You can get a rolling monthly sub for €14.00 per month, or you can sign up for 3, 6 or 12 months but you pay upfront, for a slightly reduced amount.
Sprezza Box
If you have a man in your life who is the “suited and booted” type and likes to look dapper, then this is the gift for him! The products in this box are amazing and such good quality. I was kindly given a sample box and my husband was shocked with how good it was. Socks, a pocket square, a handkerchief, a watch and a pen, totalling much more than the monthly subscription cost. There are 2 plans, one is $28 per month and is billed monthly, so you can cancel the subscription any time, and the other is $25 a month for 12 months but you pay the whole 12 months up front.
Magazines
A magazine subscription can be a lovely gift to get. For the girl who just got engaged you could get one for the Irish Wedding Diary at €30.00 per year. For parents-to-be the Maternity and Infant magazine is full of great info and articles and is €27.00 for a year.
