So every girl should keep some “go-to” items in her bag, whether for emergencies or just if you fancy a very natural make-up look. Today I’ve selected my must-haves to share with you. Happy reading!
RIMMEL STAY MATTE POWDER |002 Pink Blossom – €5.99 (Boots)
This is by far the best powder I’ve ever used. Occasionally I’ll stray away from it to try out new products, but I always come back to this. The colour is pretty much translucent, so doesn’t take away from your other make-up, and it keeps your foundation in place all day.
EMITÉ MICRONIZED EYE-SHADOW | Nect – $18.00 / €16.50 (emitemakeup.com)
I love this eyeshadow because even though it’s a neutral colour, it has a gorgeous shimmer through it which really makes my eyes pop. I had never heard of Emité until recently when I got this eye-shadow as a sample in an order of Glossybox (glossybox.co.uk) and now I can’t get enough of their products!
MAYBELLINE THE FALSIES VOLUM’ EXPRESS | Black – €11.99 (Boots)
This waterproof mascara is excellent for anyone whose lashes are naturally straight. Mine tend to stick out from my lid and are difficult to curl. Throw away those false lashes ladies!! I can only put the magic of this product down to the curved wand (you use one side to lengthen, and the other to fan the lashes out and give them a curl). I still always use a lash curler before applying mascara, for that extra curl! I’ve had this one by QVS for at least 10 years and it’s as good as new. I think it was about €5.00 but can’t remember where I got it!
CARMEX MOISTURISING LIP BALM – €3.79 (Boots)
I suffer with dry lips and the only product that gives long-lasting moisture is Carmex lip-balm. This comes in 2 flavours, classic and cherry. I recommend the cherry as the classic is an “acquired taste”! Use throughout the day, or just before bed to give overnight moisture.
